Mac With A Van – Delivery & Courier Services

By using our courier and delivery services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Definitions

  • “We”, “us”, “our”, “Company” refers to Mac With A Van, registered in Australia.

  • “You”, “Customer” refers to the individual or business using our services.

  • “Goods” means any parcels, packages, or items entrusted to us for delivery.

2. Services Provided

We provide:

  • Same-day, next-day, scheduled, and express delivery services

  • Delivery of documents, parcels, and goods across Victoria/Australia

  • Collection and drop-off at designated locations

All services are subject to availability and serviceability of the location.

3. Booking & Payment

  • All deliveries must be booked through our website, app, phone, or approved partner platform.

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking unless an account has been pre-approved.

  • Prices are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

  • Additional charges may apply for:

    • Waiting time beyond [e.g. 10 minutes]

    • After-hours or weekend deliveries

    • Redelivery or failed delivery due to incorrect information

4. Delivery & Timeframes

  • We aim to deliver within the estimated timeframe but do not guarantee delivery times unless explicitly stated as “guaranteed”.

  • Proof of Delivery (POD) may be in the form of a signature, photo, or electronic confirmation.

  • If the recipient is unavailable, we may:

    • Leave the item in a safe location (at driver discretion)

    • Attempt redelivery at a later time (additional fees may apply)

    • Return the item to sender (return charges apply)

5. Liability and Insurance

  • We comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which provides guarantees in relation to services.

  • Our liability for loss or damage to goods is limited to:

    • $100 per consignment, or

    • The value of the item (whichever is lesser),
      unless additional transit cover is purchased.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Damage caused by inadequate or improper packaging

    • Delays caused by traffic, weather, strikes, or force majeure

    • Items listed in our Prohibited Items list

Claims must be lodged within 7 days of the delivery date or expected delivery date.

6. Prohibited Items

The following must not be sent using our services:

  • Dangerous or hazardous goods

  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

  • Cash or high-value jewellery over $1,000 (unless declared and insured)

  • Perishable goods without proper packaging or temperature control

  • Illicit drugs or illegal substances

  • Human or animal remains

We reserve the right to open, inspect, or report suspicious parcels to law enforcement.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate pickup and delivery details

  • Ensure goods are packaged securely and clearly labelled

  • Declare the contents truthfully

  • Inform us of any fragile, valuable, or special handling items

  • Comply with Australian laws and our service policies

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 1 hour before pickup may be eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations after dispatch or missed deliveries are non-refundable.

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your personal information is collected and used in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy. We do not share your information with third parties except as required to fulfil delivery or legal obligations.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be available on our website, and your continued use of our services constitutes agreement to any changes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria (or your operating state/territory), and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
